Facebook...is it worth all the hype?

Sooooo, I have been a facebook member for several weeks and I have to admit, I don't have the time to spend on it! It was fun to see people from my past and have a few comments from them but I have spent to many evenings after the kids went to bed on the computer instead of hangin out with the hubby or just doing the usual pick up around the house. As you can see I have nothing to blog about except my feelings and that is pretty boring for the rest of you. Oh there is some big news worthy of writing about... We are now cellular phone people! We did it, we got our own phones with unlimited texting and I will say this, all the teasing can stop now. We have joined the rest of you in the 21st century.

The kids are all healthy and happy. Poor Lucas has really taken a beating this week. He was left on the chair in the family room and I was in the kitchen making lunches and heard a big thud. Come to find him crying his mad cry on the hard wood floor. Then he fell out of his high chair the next day.... don't know how the tray came off but I looked just in time to see him slip right out onto the floor (hard wood again). The same day the pantry door was opened onto his head leaving a red line down the middle of his forehead. Later, I stepped on his fingers while he was quietly crawling through the kitchen. A few hours later Dan did the same thing. I came home last night to find Luke with a huge red circle mark on his forehead. Jackson threw a softball to his little brother at close range! These beautiful children get hurt, cry it out and then smile and forget what has just happened. Good thing they don't look in the mirror to often!

Don't give up on facebook just yet. Don't get me wrong it is a great thing to hang out with your spouse. But at the same time it is way rewarding to catch up with old friends, and I have yet to hear from you.

And when it comes to cell phones, my business is providing consulting and services for ranchers and it rings ALL hours of the day.

I am amazed when a kid gets a bump, it looks like the worst thing ever, and it doesn't bother them as much as it does others who look at it and wonder what you did to the kid.

Poor guy! Good thing they are so tough. I kind of agree with you on facebook. I was on it all the time when I first signed up but now I usually only get on once a week or sometimes less. I prefer blogs way more! :) Oh yeah, and husbands. ha ha

Facebook is fun for keeping up with people. But you can only do so much "keeping up" with people you knew 20 years ago and don't give a rip about now. I like it because family members who don't want a blog, are easily accessible and can post pictures, funny emails, etc.

Poor Luke. That make-up you're using on his bruises must be working. ;)

I totally agree about facebook! Too time consuming and crazy! Poor Lucas!!! Thanks for not putting in the post that I stepped on his fingers too! I felt so bad!!! What a tough guy, this is such a hard stage when they are crawling all around. You have to train yourself to look down before you step.

Facebook is fun, but it's hard to spend a lot of time on it, at least for me. I just like to check comments and then get off. But it's nice to keep in touch with old friends as well as new. Poor Lucas... I'm sure he doesn't look as bad it sounds?? By the way, I still need to come and get my hair fixed?? LOL.. I will call you and schedul that, sometime. :)

I find myself wasting a lot of time on facebook! What's the big deal? I love keeping in touch w/ people, but that's why I started a blog. And can't even keep up w/ that!
