Trick or Treat Time!

This was the lineup for the Ward Trunk or Treat the night before Halloween. Interestingly enough, they all chose to be something different on Halloween night.

Jackson getting a little power nap in so he would be ready for some serious trick or treating.

and we ventured off into the night...

I asked Luke to give me a scary face and this is all he could come up with.

Nice bath robe!

Davis is the only kid I know who would find something to complain about with a pile of candy sitting in front of him.
Trick? or Treat! We'll find out on Tuesday.

Jack-o-lanterns!

We carved our pumpkins early this year. Daniel is the master carver. He is good with a knife. Addie

Lucas quite pleased

A little frustrated

Ok! that's it! I've had it!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Aunt Meggie gets Married!

Friday October 24th....Aunt Megan gets hitched! Jon and Megan had a wonderful wedding in Portland at the Arista Ballroom! As you can see Ammie Wolfley was very busy with her sewing machine! Addison and Kennedy were the flower girls(homemade dresses made by Ammie) and all the boys vests were hand made as well. Aunt Jill made the boys ties (she's got skills too!) What a handsome group!

The outfits were not complete without the ruby slippers to match one another!

The girls shakin' it on the dance floor.

I had to get a picture of the updos, which I am pretty proud of, if I do say so myself. They looked like mini brides!

We had a wonderful time! Thank you Jon and Megan for letting us be a part of your big day!

Lucas and the Rice Cereal

This is actually his second bout with non breast milk food. The first one was last week but it is hard for one person to feed and take pictures at the same time.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Another successful trip to the pumpkin patch. The kids did not take long finding a pumpkin that suited their needs. They would have picked the first one they looked at had I not made them walk through the whole pile before picking one. Davis did as he was told and then came back to the first one he saw and claimed it. Oh well. At least we know he doesn't take after his mother.

Jackson was too busy checking to see if it was a girl pumpkin or boy pumpkin to pose for a picture.

Update of different things for mom

Three boys in the Tub! I find it rare these days that the kids get a bath, so I thought I would document it! Luke has had only a few baths in the five months of his life, poor dirty baby!
Luke is growing so fast. He loves his daddy and has missed him while he has been in Ohio this week. I would hold the phone up to his ear and I loved to see his eyes light up with recognition of the voice talking to him. It was very cute! He had his first solid foods tonight before bed. Rice cereal, bananas and milk, I guess he was ready for the heavy duty stuff cause he ate the first bowl and cried the whole time waiting for me to make the second bowl! This was Jack three years ago. Many say these boys look similar but Jack definitely has the cheeks!

We had a fun "playdate" after school today. Addison and Kennedy had their friend Dewey over and also some triplet boys from their classes came also. The first 15-20 minutes consisted of running through the house screaming and chasing each other, I think they were so excited all their energy came out that way. Then we had a snack and then played with homemade Gak. I was canning pears while they all sat at the table and it was so fun to listen to the things they talked about. The girls would try to get a reaction out of the boys and the boys being oblivious to the girls and their silly little made up words and comments. We had a great time!
I just want to add to this miscellaneous blog of whatever, that despite the chaos in the world, the evils that are about us and the financial crisis that we are all aware of...... Isn't life wonderful? There is so much good in the world and in our lives today! The innocence of children, pure and happy. Beautiful fruit that we can put into bottles that will nourish our bodies, and sweet smelling babies that look at you with such love despite your imperfections. There is so much to be thankful for and to look forward to. That's all I have to say about that.

Momma, these pics are for you!

WEEZER!

A date night to remember for sure. We suffered through Angels and Airwaves to enjoy almost two hours of rock music and quality entertainment from our favorite band. You know it's good when Sidnee will leave her four month old baby for five hours. They played a lot of music from all of their albums and even invited 30 locals with their instruments on stage at the end for a hootenanny. It was hilarious. Local artists playing their trumpets and accordians to Island in the Sun. I wish we would have taken our camera.

Car Chaos

As we drove from Syracuse to Salt Lake City, not a long drive, the kids proceeded to fight and hit each other. Not a rare occurance in car, but we were headed to the wedding and needed peace and a good feeling when we got there. I started snapping pictures of the kids fighting and hitting each other and they soon stopped and posed for the camera. These rag-a-muffins can clean up pretty good! Lucas is such a good baby. This picture I took just by reaching back with the camera and it turned out! Can you see why we like to call him Bubbles or Slimy?
Jackson doesn't really have anyone to fight with sitting by himself so he just usually looks out the window and picks his nose! I am not kidding.
Usually when someone is fighting it is almost guaranteed Davis is involved! Can you tell just by looking at this picture what kind of brother he is?
The girls try and sit as far away from Davis as they can because he gets mad that he doesn't see the train or the airplane or the the big letter B on the side of the mountain that someone else sees. Then he begins hitting whom ever he can. It is really obnoxious!

Our driver remained calm and kept his eyes on the road through all the chaos!

Congratulations Joe and Meghan!

Here are some pics from our trip last week to Utah for Uncle Joe and Aunt Meghan's wedding. Olive Toes

This was a good summary of Sidnee's attitude during the trip.
