Last weekend we had a great adventure. Dan ran the Newport Oregon Marathon! We all had such a great time! We stayed in a great beach house with our great friends the Hansons. Daniel and Chris ran a great race together. Did I mention how great this was? After reading over what I wrote I added two more greats to the paragraph. Pretty pathetic!
Since there were 11 spectators for the two dad runners, we graciously got to ride a shuttle and meet the runners at their turnaround point. We got to throw rocks in the bay, lay on the side of the road, eat snacks, get hot ( it was 85 degrees at the beach)(which is unheard of) eat snacks some more and cheer for the many runners of all ages and sizes.
There they are! Chris' hair makes it look like they are going really fast! But they slowed down to say hi to their fans~
Crossing the finish line! He did it,! Tired, injured, and humbled, but he did 26.2 miles! Way to go Daniel! We are so proud of you!

OK...that made me cry...totally bawling! I miss you guys so much and it always brings such pride to hear one of my siblings did something GREAT! Man I miss you guys!!!!
