Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This picture doesn't really go with the Thanksgiving theme but it was taken yesterday and I thought it was cute. Luke is now six months old. He is really into watching his siblings and he loves to dance. The minute a song is played his whole body gets a rockin'. We sure love our baby!

Okay here is our Thanksgiving day at Mom and Dad Wolfley's house. As you can see Mom Wolfley had beautiful table setting for a large crowd. All the Wolfley people that live in Washington were in attendance.
Davis sat next to Papa and enjoyed a homemade roll. Sadly that is all that he ate. I forced some sweet potatoes down his throat and that was all we got him to eat, besides dessert of course. He is our pickiest eater. What's a mom to do? After dinner the Dan Wolfley Kids did a homemade puppet show. Addison read a story from school about the Pilgrims and Indians. The Pilgrims first winter was a bad situation. The following year the Indians taught them to care for their crops which resulted in a bountiful harvest and the first Thanksgiving. Davis and Kennedy were the puppetiers.

Here is the woman who did all the work. She is a great cook and it all turned out splendid! My mother in law doesn't read my blog so I am not saying this for any kind of extra brownie points. I am just Grateful I have a wonderful family and for a load of great food.

All in all it was a great day. Some of us have to be coaxed into saying so but it is true! We are a blessed people with so much to Thank our Father in Heaven for!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Our little Jackson is officially three years old. We had a small celebration with Grandma Wolfley, Anita, and the kids. We had some cake and ice cream, some presents, and then the beloved setting up of the toys. Oh how I love to set up the toys. If it wasn't for setting up toys I don't know that I would even sponsor birthdays.

Yeah, that's a fantastic idea, he's three years old, he can handle the scissors. Hopefully he can tell the difference between the ribbon and those chubby little fingers. Don't worry, the five year old brother is there to supervise.

It's funny how the older siblings jump on the new toys like a pack of wild dogs while the birthday boy is content to play in the background with the old train set.

Lazy Saturday

Yesterday was one of those days that we all love. We had nothing to do. No plans, not having to go anywhere and it was raining outside. I was asking the kids what they wanted to do but we didn't have any great ideas. Dan blew the leaves in the yard around for about an hour and scraped up the moldy, deflated jack-o-lanterns that had already decomposed and were left on the back patio too long. It was Papa's birthday so we went over to the Grandparent's house, ate their food, partied, and then came home. I decided I should do some haircuts while the kids were game, so this is the ending result. Addison wanted about 7-8 inches off her hair and then Kennedy wanted to look like twins so here they are. They pranced around the rest of the evening quite pleased with themselves. I wanted my haircut too but I couldn't talk Daniel into doing it so I took matters into my own hands and only got about 2 or so inches off. No one can tell, but my hair sure feels better. In the middle of clothes being folded, music blasting, hair cutting, and kids running around, this little boy zonked out.

Trick or Treat Time!

This was the lineup for the Ward Trunk or Treat the night before Halloween. Interestingly enough, they all chose to be something different on Halloween night.
