He's On His Knees!

Lucas has been very hush hush about his crawling desire. Every now and again we'll catch him on his knees rocking back and forth but the moment the camera comes out he flops on his belly. After weeks in the wild I finally caught him in the act. And so it begins!

Deck the Halls!

We found time on Saturday to venture out to our favorite tree farm in Hockinson. I was in a bit of a rush so we could get back in time to watch Florida beat Alabama in the SEC championship game but the beautiful weather, cute kids, and mass of trees to sort through somehow made me forget about the game. It's amazing how a labyrinth of trees that all look the same can make you lose all track of time.

We looked far and wide. The kids liked this one. I convinced them to keep moving.

I tried to talk them into this one. We could take it home and just through it out in the front lawn to be picked up by the scouts in January and save ourselves a lot of trouble. They didn't bite and we kept looking.Kenny liked the nobles.

There has got to be a tree around here somewhere.

Here's a nice plump fir.
Enough talk, let's saw. Look Mom, I'm cutting down a tree!

Either I'm out of shape or this trunk is made of steel.
Almost there.

Maybe I can just push it over.

Whew! I thought it would never come down. How's the view kids?

OK, who get's to haul it to the car? Where's Sidnee?*

Yeah, you grab that twig Davis. Thanks for the help.

This is the finished product. I left out the pictures of the yelling, screaming, and throwing of ornaments. Once we got Sidnee to go do something else we finally got it all decorated.**
*Sidnee would have cut the tree down and hauled it to the car if her husband wasn't so prideful. She was busy taking the pictures.
**The kids where actually the ones screaming, yelling, and throwing of ornaments. Sidnee did a majority of the decorating work.

Happy Birthday Twinners!

The girls turned seven on Sunday. We enjoyed their favorite dinner ("some type of meat and mashed potatoes" pictured below) and some cake and ice cream with Anita.

Sidnee outdid herselft with these tasty lemon and strawberry cakes garnished with gourmet skittles.

They joined the 21st Century with their very own iPod. Best kid gift ever. It doesn't make any noise and keeps them busy for hours.

Addie rockin out to High School Musical.

Everytime I tried to take a picture of Kenny she stopped dancing and posed.
What blog posting is complete without the gratuitous cute baby photo.
