Jack's Baptism

We had a great day yesterday.  Jackson was baptized at the Stake Center at 6pm.  
Addison gave the opening prayer
I spoke on baptism and Papa spoke on the Holy Ghost.
The kids sang "When I am baptized" (we needed more practice)
Dan baptized Jackson in the font and confirmed him a member of the church and gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Davis said the closing prayer.
It was a nice evening followed up with friends and family at our house for brownies and ice cream.
We love you Jackson! We are so grateful you are in our family and you desire to follow the Savior and make Covenants with him!

Yard photos

We did some yard updates.  Last May we had a sidewalk and back patio poured.  Our yard was really soggy and muddy.  This has really helped.

My husband has worked very hard on the retaining walls on both sides of our house. These pictures were taken after he already started to level the land.  He was out in the rain and heat for many hours on this project.  But he has a talent that needs to be shown!  His lawn and the rest of the yard is pretty darn loved also.  I just have to brag and show off his skills.

Here is the rest of the yard.  After ripping out many old bushes, planting several new ones and spreading a lot of bark, we are happy with it.

Life goes on even if you don't blog about it....

So it has been an eventful year and alot has come to pass.  I have gotten some pressure from mom to post some pictures and so here I go.
